Meet Miss Lauren, Instructor and Owner

Lauren began dancing at her local dance school at the age of 3.

On leaving school Lauren began training at GAMTA in Glasgow before moving to London to train at London Studio Centre where she graduated with a BA (HONS) in Theatre
Dance. Whilst in London she had the opportunity to dance in a variety of shows including The One Show and in the London
2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony.

Lauren has studied Ballet, Tap and Modern to an Advanced level. She is a qualified ISTD
Modern and Tap teacher and RAD ballet teacher.

As well as teaching and running LB Dance School she is also mum to Rebecca

Nicola Charlesworth – Acrobatic Arts Teacher

Hello, I am Nicola, I began dancing when I was 5 years old after watching my mum tap dance with an adult class in the local dance schools annual show.  I was a keen gymnast but instantly fell in love with dance too.  I studied Ballet, Tap and Modern to an advanced level, successfully completing all my RAD and ISTD exams.  In 2001 I graduated from the RAD with my teaching certificate in classical ballet. I then went on to gain my teaching certificates in Tap and Modern with the ISTD and finally becoming a qualified teacher with the Acrobatic Arts programme.  I adore working with children and helping them achieve their full potential.  I am very excited to meet all the children and looking forward to working with you all.

Neve Docherty – Hip Hop Teacher

Hi I’m Neve. I’ve been dancing since I was 3 years old, and over the years I’ve had the joy of performing in many shows, including Pasha Kovalev’s tour from Strictly Come Dancing. I’ve trained in a wide range of styles, but hip hop has always been my favourite. I’m passionate about sharing my love of dance, and I can’t wait to start teaching at LB dance school and inspiring the next generation of dancers.
